Plants

An orchid flowers for two to three months, rests, then flowers again. It is the plant that stays the longest, and it asks for little.

Watering

A ten-minute soak every seven to ten days, then drained completely. The roots like to breathe between waterings: it is that rhythm, more than the quantity of water, that makes the plant last.

Light and place

Bright but indirect light suits it — near a window, without direct sun on the leaves. Sheltered from draughts, it keeps its buds until they open.

After flowering

Cut the stem above the second visible node. The plant rests for a few weeks, then starts again. With this watering rhythm and this light, an orchid flowers season after season.
