Shop / Sympathy / Heart for mourning
A flowered heart, close to the coffin.

The heart is the piece of those closest — a spouse, children, parents. Its shape says so before any word, and that is why it is not usually given by a group.
The flowers are set one by one on a solid base, following the curve: the outline must stay clean from wherever it is seen. That build calls for flowers with even heads, and it is what makes the shape legible.
On the coffin, against it, or on the grave after the service. It travels flat and needs no support.
A few words on the ribbon — “To our father”, “To my wife”, a first name. On this piece, the inscription is often the only thing written, and it counts as much as the flowers.
